February’s DVD and Book Product Roundup 2018

I get products sent to me daily to try out. I unfortunately don’t have time to do a post for each item that I get to review. So I want to make sure these items get seen and learned about. The only other solution I could see to do is to do a February’s DVD and Book Product Roundup 2018 on the products I like and want my readers to know about. I hope you enjoy these as much as I and my other reviewers did.

Wilson the Pug, everyone’s favorite canine Taoist, has fallen in love. His soul mate, Hedy, with her wrinkly skin and floppy ears, is a real looker. But the lovable dog Wilson thinks is a fellow pug is actually a mastiff puppy, and in no time at all the difference between the two dogs become comically obvious. After trying with little success to appear more like a big dog (by lifting weights, practicing his bark, and trying to smooth out his signature pug wrinkles), Wilson is heartbroken. Things look bleak for the star-crossed lovers, but once again, the wisdom of the Tao comes shining through: “The Master acts on what he feels and not what he sees.” Wilson and Hedy couldn’t appear more different, but as we all know, it’s what’s inside that really counts.

Peep says it’s time for Egg to start using the potty. But Egg does not want to use the potty―and no amount of lemonade-drinking, running water, or toilet-paper tutus can change that! When things start to get a little uncomfortable, Egg realizes that when nature calls, sometimes you can’t say no. Peep and Egg: I’m Not Using the Potty is the fourth book in the Peep and Egg series, and will be relatable to parents and children alike.

The littlest acorn wants to grow big and strong. As a sapling, she notices tall pines and colorful maples nearby. In comparing herself to them, her self-esteem withers, and she loses her zest for life. It takes a little bird building a nest to show the little oak tree the true value of her shape, color, size and spirit.

This engaging book teaches early grade school children to appreciate their natural gifts, especially at critical stages of socialization. It can be used by parents, teachers, librarians and anyone else who wants to inspire children to overcome the urge to compare themselves to others in order to determine their worth and value.

Ultimately, it shows children the path to true contentment – discovering their unique gifts (what’s in their acorn), developing them and then sharing them with the world.
