Hubby with the candy box

When hubby got home he saw the package containing the Old Time Candy on the porch and brought it in and opened it. I tried to tell him to wait until I got pics for my review until started eating the candy. I took the above pic as I was yelling at him to wait. He was like a kid in a candy store lol He kept holding up different candies saying "I remember these".

I moved and sat next to him on the couch and I thought he was going to beat me with the Sweetarts as he said no touchy to me lol After he went threw the whole box I was able to get a few good pics then the candy was handed out by hubby. My son went for the wax bottles filled with juice. For the rest of the night my husband would show the box off to anyone who came over. The Old Time Candy box of the 60's was packed with candy and I loved going threw it even though my husband thought it was all his. This was a great treat to have in the house and it lasted for about a week.

  1. I would choose the 60's decade box. That was when I was the happiest to receive candy, so it was always delicious. I want to taste that again!!

  2. i like that they have all the old candy. I also liked that u could buy it by decade or u can buy stuff separate ๐Ÿ™‚

  3. The mission of the Old Time Candy Company is to provide childhood candy memories in such a way that it glorifies God and His plan for our lives. Our goal for every candy order is that it results in a “delighted customer” who will tell their friends.

  4. It was fun looking thru all the different candies from my decade and before.  It made me hungry for some of the candies they don't have anymore!

  5. I learned that the owners of the company did their research and found that there are companies out there that still make candies from the early days. They don't make the candies themselves, but they track down the companies that make the candies and sell them over the internet.

  6. If I had to say which box I would try, I would like to try the assortment box. This would be a great experience to try candies that were made in all 4 decades.

  7. being an 80 kid i love the candy from then so it would be either that decade or even the 70's had some great things.
I love how they are able to find the old school no longer made candies.

  8. OMG What's not to like about this site! It so sent me down memory lane. I had forgotten about a lot of the candy that was available when I was a child. Good times!

  9. I didn't find any slo poke  'Black Cows'  a type of caramel suckers on a stick that was dipped in chocolate.  Man, I miss those !

  10. I used to go to this really old fashioned store with wooden floors and old time candy. The street it was on was cobblestone. It was like going back in time….this reminds me of that!:) What fun!

  11. i learned that their mission statement is "The mission of the Old Time Candy Company is to provide childhood candy memories in such a way that it glorifies God and His plan for our lives. "
and i'm not quite sure how God's plan for our lives ties into eating candy from different decades, but OKAY!

  12. i think i'd pick the 50s box because i'm curious to try things i've never heard of – but then maybe i'd want a more recent one, in case i get completely hooked on something i can't buy at a local store… hmm.. ๐Ÿ™‚

  13. I learned that they track down the manufacturers who are still in business and sell their candy on the Internet.  so everything is fresh.

  14. i like the page with all the pics of all the different candies they have. it reminds me of a store we used to go to when we were kids. they had a giant case with all sorts of penny candy. you could give them 25 cents and ask for a 'surprise bag'. they would fill it up with a bunch of different candy. oh, the good old days!

  15. I like that all their candy is fresh and that theirs a large variety to choose from ๐Ÿ™‚ These are such a cool idea!

  16. I would pick the love birds valentines box, with maybe the 80's decade lol , but a mix and match of candies would be great

  17. I learned that during hot weather we will include a free, refrigerant gel-pack to protect your candy from melting. If necessary we will include more than one. These gel-packs are reusable for picnics.

  18. I like that the Decade Boxes come in 2lb and 4lb varieties.  Although my husband and I are both 80's babies, the 70's decade box seemed more the candy we remembered chowing down on as kids.  I would love to win this!

  19. You can choose either a standard box or 'walk the candy aisle' and pick what you want! How cool is that!!! Thanks for the opportunity!

  20. I love the canister jars! I can remember these from when I was a kid and I would go into the Soda Fountain/Drug store in our little town. These jars were on the counter filled with this same kind of candy!

  21. I am so torn between the 1980's and 1990's boxes!  I grew up with all of those candies!  I would probably choose the 1980's though!    =)

  22. I learned the name of the suckers that i use to LOVE when I was a kid and could never recall what they were called until now, Astro pops!!!

  23. I have previously ordered a box from this company before for my in-laws wedding anniversary! I have to say they were very pleased with it and the kids had a great time seeing some of the other candy that they have never seen or heard of before! Would definately recommend and would love to win one for myself now!

  24. I love the "Pack-A"Bag" option! So many of my favorites are available and I love the idea of a 5-lb custom bag ๐Ÿ˜‰

  25. I love also that they have products separated by 30's, 40's, etc. . . that is PERFECT for finding a specific group of candy for the right person!

  26. The description of the 70's box really brought back memories of Penny Candy. Fifty cents would get you lots of candy back then!
