Pumpkin Carving & Halloween Cookies

Sweet Creations Pumpkin Carving KitI got the Sweet Creations Pumpkin Carving Kit from Good Cook to help with our pumpkin carving adventure. I liked how this kit comes with all the tools you need to carve out that spooky pumpkin. The stencils in the kit are at various skill levels.

StencilsWith the wide variety of stencils, there sure to be one that will spark your interest.

Cleaning pumpkin outMy husband used the scraper in the kit to clean the guts out of the pumpkin and the scraper worked really great.

Using a stencil

My husband used the Frankenstein stencil from the Sweet Creations Pumpkin Carving Kit. For some reason we could not get the clear tape to stick to the pumpkin so I went and got a few band-aids. The band-aids worked like a charm. I guess band-aids will stick to anything lol My husband liked using the punch wheel to trace out the stencil.

Finished pumpkinThis is my husbands finished pumpkin. He hadn't done a pumpkin in years. I used a battery powered blue light to light the pumpkin up. I think the pumpkin looks great.

Halloween cookiesMy mom got creative this past weekend and made use Halloween cookies. The cookies are sugar cookies. My mom made cats, bats, houses, witches, ghosts pumpkins and frankensteins.

halloween cookiesMy mom used the Frankenstein cookie cutter from Good Cook to make the cute Frankensteins. Don't you think the cookies look great?

  1. Love it all! Very festive and fun. I like how they have kits now that are for many skill and age levels. They even have Mr. Potato head like accessories so little kids can decorate their jack-o-lanterns without actually carving. After all that hard work carving, the cookies would be a great treat. 🙂

  2. I love the nut cracker and picks. Just like the ones my dad used when I was little. I want these!

  3. I like that they have recipes on their site along with cookware/bakeware and kitchen tools 🙂

  4. oh wow, pretty cool, i have seen these carving tools and kits before but never tried one, have been wanting to , who knows maybe i will get brave this halloween and give it a try 🙂 thanks for share
