Have you cut the cable cord yet? Our family has been slowly transitioning from our cable and DVR to streaming services. With our busy schedules it just makes sense to cut the cord, save the money, and make our viewing habits work for us. We find ourselves watching shows on our phones and other devices all the time. That is why I am excited to introduce the Google Chromecast Streaming Media Player.
See it. Stream it.
Watch movies, shows, live TV, YouTube, and photos streaming on your TV from all your family’s devices.1 In the morning I can stream workout videos from YouTube to get my day started off right and while I work I can use the Google Chromecast Streaming Media Player to listen to music. Come evening, our family can pull up our favorite shows or movies to watch together no matter the regular scheduled start time, thanks to various streaming providers.
Stream from Your Phone to TV
Plug your Google Chromecast Media Player into the HDMI port on your TV and to power supply, then stream your favorite entertainment right from your phone with just a tap. Watch shows, listen to playlists, and more. While streaming, you can still use your phone as you normally do.
Works with Your Favorite Streaming Apps
With over 2,000 apps, you are sure to find your favorites. From Netflix, YouTube, YouTube TV, and HBO NOW among many other streaming apps, you will have endless entertainment at your fingertips. View the full list of the streaming apps available on the Google Chromecast Streaming Media Player.
You can connect your Google Chromecast Streaming Media Player to your Google Home and they work seamlessly together.2 Just say what you want to watch from compatible apps and control your TV hands-free.
“Okay Google, play Stranger Things from Netflix on my living room TV.”
No Need for a SmartTV
You can now expand your home entertainment without buying a new TV. It’s so affordable you can get one for every TV in the home. My internet provider told me that SmartTV’s actually drain down your wifi signal strength and it is better to use streaming media players. I am happy to now have the Google Chromecast Streaming Media Player as an option.
High-speed Wireless Connectivity
Built-in 802.11ac Wi-Fi connects to the internet through your wireless home network. You will be required to use your own wireless router – which is sold separately. Web-based services and content require high-speed internet service. Some services may require a subscription, such as Netflix.
¹ Subscriptions are required to view some content.
² Google Home, Chromecast, and compatible content required to cast to a TV using Google Home.
