Banana Walnut Bread

Banana Walnut BreadMoist and delicious Banana Walnut Bread is a simple recipe that is timeless! A true crowd pleaser! I only have one issue with this recipe! I make it to give away and end up eating it.

Ingredients:

3 Very Ripe Bananas

1/3 C. Melted Butter

3/4 C. Sugar

1 Egg, beaten

1 tsp. Vanilla Extract

1 tsp. Baking Soda

Pinch of Salt

1 1/2 C. of all-purpose Flour

1/2 C Walnuts, chopped

Preheat oven to 350F and butter a 4×8-inch loaf pan.

In a large mixing bowl, mash the ripe bananas with a fork.

Use a wooden spoon to stir the melted butter into the mashed bananas.

Mix in the baking soda and salt. 

Stir in the sugar, beaten egg, and vanilla extract.

Mix in the flour.

Fold in the chopped walnuts.

Pour batter into prepared loaf pan. Bake for 1 hour at 350F or until a tester inserted in the center comes out clean.

Remove from oven and cool completely on a rack. Remove the banana bread from the pan. Slice and serve.

  3. The recipe sounds great, and I did just buy bananas. I like that these cups are durable and easily hold up to lots of kitchen work. Easy to clean and dishwasher safe is always nice since baking can get messy.

  6. I would love stainless steel measuring cups. Or even spoons! I have a plastic set of both which are old and unfortunately have deteriorated over time. This makes measuring accurately kind of hard. Stainless steel is much easier to clean and maintain! The bread looks delicious, thanks for the recipe!

  10. looks very good, but a whole lot to eat….i am not a cooker, if i cant nuke it, well, i cook more for my 3 dogs than for me…it takes me longer to fix their food than mine.
