Speed Racer only lights up once put in motion, and thus will not require constant turning on and off. Based on LED technology (light emitting diode), the rim light will endure through almost any terrain as well as rough handling. Want to bike in the rain or through small ponds? The rim lights are 100% waterproof and rust resistant – to put it differently, once the LED has been installed you will never have the hassle of taking it off or putting it on again unless you want to.

As the speed racer is attached and functioning properly, it may enhance safety by increasing visibility at night.

The Rim lights fit perfect on my husband's three wheel bike. They were super easy to put on and worked with only a few pedals in. The lights are very bright and can be seen from far away. The lights looked great in the pictures and in the short video I took. I think these are just an extra layer of safety when riding your bike. I would recommend the Rim lights for your bike if you ride a lot when it is dark out.
