I love being a Good Cook Expert, as I get to try new items from time to time. I was sent the Bake-A-Bowl 6-Cup pan to try out from the Good Cook Sweet Creations line. When I got the pan, I couldn't wait to try it out. The first thing that came to mind was breakfast bowls for dinner. To make my bowls I used pre made biscuits that were on sale at my local store 10/$10. I had to play with the Bake-A-Bowl pan as I have never used one before.
The first try I just put each biscuit in the bottom of the pan and they came out not so much like a bowl but more like an indent in the biscuit lol. I then took the biscuit and molded it over the top part of the Bake-A-Bowl pan and baked the pan up side down. The biscuit bowls came out much better. I liked the way they came out by doing this.
We filled the biscuit bowls with scrambled eggs, hash browns, crumbled sausage, bacon, cheese and sausage gravy. The bowls were perfect size and you could eat them with your hands if you wanted to. My family loved these and can't wait until we have them again.
A few days later I made chocolate chip cookie dessert bowls. I got break and bake pre made cookie dough and made the bowls the same way I did with the biscuits.
I took two of the cookie squares and molded them over the top of the Bake-A-Bowl pan and baked the pan up side down. This works when you don't have time to make cookie dough from scratch.I also was sent the Twister ice cream scoop from Good Cook to try out with my dessert bowls. I was in a rush one night that my family stopped and got meals from a drive thru and I even bought a quart of the restaurants ice cream. I planed on making hot cookie bowls later that night that would go great with ice cream.
I took the hot cookie bowls and put them in small bowls and we filled them with ice cream. This was so perfect for my family and was a great treat. I loved being able to make a quick and fun dessert for my family before we sat down to watch a movie together. I even topped mine with chocolate syrup. These were so yummy.

Our toffees are covered in a rich blend of Guittard milk or dark chocolate. In between the layers of chocolate is the most buttery almond toffee with the perfect crunch, not too hard, not too soft. We top our almond toffees off with a splash of chopped almonds.
Let me say that the Dark Chocolate Toffee Nuggets and the Milk Chocolate Almond Toffees were a hit at my house. My family and friends enjoyed them. I liked how the dark chocolate melted in my mouth. I am a sucker for dark chocolate. My mom made cup cakes filled with the Toffee Sauce and they were great. I was on Elaine's Toffee Company and saw a few other items that I would love to try out. There also gift baskets available for when you want to get that special someone a yummy gift.

Bart's Cookies are known all over the world as some of the best chocolate chip cookies. It all started when Bart was in college back in 1988 and wanted something yummy and warm and out of the oven. With his mom being a long way away, he went to the store to buy the ingredients to make warm chocolate chip cookies. Little did he know that his first batch was going to turn out tasting so yummy and launch his career. After college Bart went on to work at several temp agencies, but he didn't mind. That just meant tons of luncheons and opportunities to share his baked cookies with everyone. Bart started his career as an independent consultant and graphic/website designer, but instead of the "normal" business cards, he would send out a box of his cookies. He received tons of clients signing up. Today, he has written seven self-help/non fiction books, teaching people about computers, marketing, and business, and bakes his yummy cookies, does this guy every get any sleep??

I got the Sweet Creations Pumpkin Carving Kit from Good Cook to help with our pumpkin carving adventure. I liked how this kit comes with all the tools you need to carve out that spooky pumpkin. The stencils in the kit are at various skill levels.
With the wide variety of stencils, there sure to be one that will spark your interest.
My husband used the scraper in the kit to clean the guts out of the pumpkin and the scraper worked really great.
My husband used the Frankenstein stencil from the Sweet Creations Pumpkin Carving Kit. For some reason we could not get the clear tape to stick to the pumpkin so I went and got a few band-aids. The band-aids worked like a charm. I guess band-aids will stick to anything lol My husband liked using the punch wheel to trace out the stencil.
This is my husbands finished pumpkin. He hadn't done a pumpkin in years. I used a battery powered blue light to light the pumpkin up. I think the pumpkin looks great.
My mom got creative this past weekend and made use Halloween cookies. The cookies are sugar cookies. My mom made cats, bats, houses, witches, ghosts pumpkins and frankensteins.
My mom used the Frankenstein cookie cutter from Good Cook to make the cute Frankensteins. Don't you think the cookies look great?

I got the chance to try Werther’s Original Baking Caramels, So I asked my mom what we should make with them. My mom came up with Caramel toped brownie cupcakes. I shot a bunch of video clips and pictures. The video clips were edited for me and below is the finished video.
Pretty cool, don't you think? I had so much fun baking with my mom and my family & I got to eat the sweet rewards. The process was very simple and I learned a neat trick. I learned that using a straw to make holes into a cupcake allows the caramel sauce to go inside. The cupcakes had caramel threw out the entire cupcake by doing this.

I just spent this past Saturday with my mom and we tried out our treat making skills making some popcorn treats, as I was given a few products from JOLLY TIME & Good Cook to help with this. I can say the time I spent with my mom was great. So buckle up and enjoy my story with plenty of pics.
I got a 2 QT Sauce pan, Spatula, Candy Thermometer, and a Stainless Steel Rubber Base mixing bowl from Good Cook to use in my popcorn treat making.
JOLLY TIME Pop Corn sent me a variety of popcorn and a popcorn baller. I even got some of their new Smart Balance Butter Light popcorn.
My mom used these ingredients to make the syrup for the popcorn balls:
2 cups sugar
1 cup water
1/2 cup light-colored corn syrup
1 teaspoon vinegar
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 tablespoon vanilla
We had to clip the candy thermometer to the sauce pan and brought the mixture to 250 degree F, which is hard-ball stage for about 20 minutes.
My mom and I both were set up and ready to start making popcorn balls
My mom poured the syrup mixture over the hot popcorn and we stirred gently to coat all of the popcorn. We added in our candies and nuts when the syrup cooled a little. Then we tried to make popcorn balls but for some reason they just wouldn't stick together so my mom never wanting to give up put the pop corn mixture in a pan.
We then added some candy eyes on the top of the popcorn treat and placed it in the refrigerator to cool.
After trying the old time popcorn ball recipe, We did the JOLLY TIME Popcorn Marshmallow Balls recipe. This went a lot better and the balls came out great.
My son love eatting the popcorn balls that grandma and I made.
Right now for a limited time, you can save 25% Off the Good Cook Popcorn Baller when you use code: POPCORN at checkout.
From Oct 7 – Oct 14, 2013 you can enter on the Good Cook facebook page to enter to win the Free Jolly Time Pop Corn and Good Cook Popcorn Baller Giveaway daily for your chance to win. 250 people will win a Good Cook spherical Popcorn Baller and a coupon for a free box of Jolly Time Pop Corn.
