My husband and I went to the Saladworks in downtown Grand Rapids after my doctors appointment. We went in at 3pm in the afternoon and the restaurant was quite and very clean. The workers greeted us right away. We first visited the bathrooms which were very clean and pleasant.
If you love salad and having plenty of choices then you are going to want to try Saladworks today. My husband and I stood looking at all the choices and sandwich options for a good 5 minutes before we placed our order. I placed an order for a make my own salad and that's when the magic started. The worker grab the greens of my choice and my add ins, Then he mixed in my dressing. The portion side of salad was way more than I thought it would be. I also got a bacon and cheese Panini. My husband got the Buffalo Bleu salad and a turkey club sandwich.
My husband and I both got the pick 2 combos which comes with a roll or chips. My only complaint is that the roll was supper hard and would only go good with a soup, otherwise the food was great. We were both full and said we would most defiantly put Saladworks on our go to restaurant radar. The choices are endless and made to your liking.
Before you order at Saladworks make sure to check out and see if the have any specials going on as they offer different ones frequently. Salaworks also caters, So keep them in mind for that next big event.

It had been 15+ plus years since I had been at a Red Lobster restaurant and pry will be another 15 years before I go back. I went today with my mom since we were spending the day together before her up coming surgery. The day started off great. We found front row parking at the mall, got right in to get pedi's done and then we thought we would grab a bite to eat. Mom said Big Boy's and I then said Red Lobster since I hadn't been there to eat since the last time my mom took me for my birthday years ago. My husband doesn't like the smell of sea food so I was happy to have my mom go with me. We pull up to Red Lobster at 11am and the parking lot was empty. We checked the door and the time said they were open so we parked and as we were getting out of the Jeep we saw the manager opening the doors. We went in and were greeted by the hostess and were seated. After looking through the menu and reading about the daily specials mom and I deiced what we wanted and put our menus down and started talking. After a few minutes we realized no one had been to our table to help us and my mom looked at her watch and it was 11:17am. We looked around and saw no one coming to help us so we grab our things and walked out to the Jeep. I deiced to go back in to get the store # and manager's name so I could complain. The hostess was on the other side of the restaurant and I called out to her and told her we were leaving do to not getting any service and I wanted the store # and managers name. The hostess looked through some papers at the stand and then said let me get the manager to help you. The hostess went in back and came back out with four other people behind them. The manager came over and said "I saw you pull in and I am so sorry." I told him it's too late and then he offered us a free lunch. I told the manager if he could get my mom back in then I take him up on his offer. The manager walked out to my Jeep and opened the door and my mom told him NO! that she was already upset over the lack of service. After he apologize to her and told her lunch was on the house my mom said OK but the service better get worked out. We sat back down and Jessica our waitress came over and took our drink order and we ordered an appetizer. We got out drinks and the appetizer came out quickly. We ate and talked and then it was a long time before our meals came out as we had pushed the appetizer aside so we didn't fill up on it. All's we could talk about was how bad the service was. An older couple two booths from us complained over how dirty the table was and were moved to another booth. By the time our food finely came our appetizer food had settled so we weren't really hungry anymore. The food tasted great but the service and long time we waited was horrible. Yes we got a free lunch but we still had to wait a long time and we left at 12:28pm Instead of telling everyone about the great food My mom & I came home to tell our husband's how bad the service was. I even told my mom I was sorry for suggesting Red Lobster for lunch. I understand the place was just opening but even after walking out the food wait was horrible with being the only order at that time.
Have you had a horrible restaurant experience?
*** Update 4/13/13 I got a $40 Gift Card from guest relations regarding this experience. I posted pic here.
